The dead motels of Las Vegas

The themed motel was an undeniable fixture peppered throughout the visual landscape of Las Vegas since the city’s inception. With the emergence of the mega resorts and redevelopment in general, almost all of those whimsical yet utilitarian structures have completely vanished into literal dust. The motel as subject matter for this series is not just about pure nostalgia, but also a reminder of the city’s flamboyant history and fickle nature.
